Right, you've made me come to the decision that i need to discard the cavalier attitude & apply some caution with my shaving. I'm going to see if i can get a run of my own going here & stay nick free for a while! I'm afraid neither of us are footy fans. His only interests are food, walking & bitches, in that order.

Congrats on your success in str8 shaving. I've gotten nicks here and there. Once in a blue moon I stop with the blade on my skin and get a line. I'll stop three.
The electric tea kettle is a great idea but you should not plug it in near the sink. Get one that can be removed from the electrical part easily, boil the water away from the sink and just keep the hot kettle w/o electric part next to the sink.

Well shaving wise I would say NO you have the patience of Job and are following all the forum suggestions to the letter, mixed with some luck of course....
Now after talking to you many times on the phone, I would have to answer a resounding Yes, but no worse than I am
Keep it up brother!!!!

Thanked: 1587Ahh, see? Talking to Glen on the phone. Unfair advantage!!!
Seriously, congrats on the nickless past 6 months. It is no small feat. Just recently I cut myself so badly I had to back the straight back out of the cut or risk scalping! CONSTANT VIGILANCE!!

I'm with you englishgent. I have cut myself hundreds of times but the straight has never done it. Never ever cut myself with a straight, its always been a double edge.

Never, the straight has never drawn blood never nicked me ever. If I have nicked or cut myself its always been with a double edge in hand, like this morning. Of course that one always does that for some reason.

Well I've never drawn blood on my face, this morning however I was testing the sharpness of a W&B on the inside of my arm after stropping.
I did manage to neatly shave some hairs very nicely and then slice the top off a tiny mole nestled amongst the hair. That razor was sharp alright the SOB bled for about twenty minutes.

That's still a clean sheet in my book. It would have to be a cut inflicted while shaving i believe. Still, it'll happen & don't forget to post when it does!
