Thanked: 0First shave
Just finished my first shave tonight! I didn't spend a whole lot of time watching videos or anything, so I was a little nervous at first. I started with just my cheeks, since that's what a lot of people recommended, and it just cut through the whiskers like butter. Before I knew it, my whole face was clean shaven. I had to do a little touch-up work with a cartridge razor, but man, it was a great experience. So relaxing, every part of it. Can't wait to do it again!

I believe we all start the same way, congratulations! I am sure by now you are thinking on what to improve for your next shave. Face preparation or a better angle perhaps, it is sort of addictive.

Thanked: 0I'm not exactly sure what the razor is. On the box it says "A. Starkenstein New York". It says "Reflex" on the razor itself...it's a 4/8 carbon steel blade. Bought it used on the classifieds, and it came shave ready.
And yeah, I definitely have a ton of improving to do. I'm just glad my first experience didn't leave me too discouraged/bloody to want to keep going with it!

Welcome! Sounds liek a great first shave!
I remember doing just under the sideburns...ok, a little more, maybe this spot here, and here....and then I had done a whole pass. That first shave was scary! I finished with a DE.
Enjoy the trip, it just gets better and better!
