Thanked: 41Good morning, Gentlemen and Ladies
Please let me introduce myself. I am Mark Evenson, I live in Santa Rosa Ca. I am 57 yrs young. I started wet shaving with a DE at the beginning of Oct.08. I have been lurking here for a couple months and became a member on 1/4/09. I have purchased 2 new shave ready str8s, a strop from Tony Miller and Video from Lynn. I am totally dedicated to WS and have thrown all my electric razors in the bin. I have just begun str8 shaving, having 3 shaves under my belt. I am waiting for arrival of the strop before I use the blade any more. I enjoy reading the posts here and hopefully in time can add some help to others new to str8 shaving. I am also a member at B&B under the same name. Thank you all for you help and kindness. The best to all.

Thanked: 278Hello Mark. Looks like you have everything under control. You don't mention a nice brush or soap/cream, but something tells me you're not the kind of person to miss out on that part of the wet shaving experience. Welcome aboard.

Thanked: 41I do have 2 Badger brushes, one Muhle silver tip, and a Omega, best Badger. I like them both tho they are different. I also recently received a gift from a member at B&B of an older Boar brush. Seen here on the right:
I have been using Taylor Of Old Bond St Sandalwood cream, with Truefitt & Hill cream and C.O. Bigelow cream. I like the creams but have ordered some samples of soaps to try.
Thank you all for your responses.
Mark
