search badger hair knots... i figure just dig out the old one and glue another in with marine glue. they have'm on ebay and you can googl it. that is a nice razor and setup...

FWE is right up there with Dubl Duck IMHO. The one you picked up looks very nice and will undoubtedly make a great shaver.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

That's great to know. I had no idea it was right up there with Double Duck in quality. The fellow who sells them test them as I mentioned before then strops them one last time before shipping so it should be good to go when I get it.

Thanked: 2204No, it will not be good to go. You must strop for 30-50 roundtrip laps on a plain leather hanging strop just before each shave. It makes an enormous difference. I am not joking about this. Hopefully, others will chime in on this point.
