Wapis are great razors and very good value for money. They are worth investing in. If you take good care of it you qon't regret it. And Kenrup is a very reputable member here, one of the most active and knowlegeable in here so you are safe with him. I sugest you also buy a strop from him. I don't have one but I've heard nothing but good things on it.
Take care, good luck and...
WELCOME!!!

Thanked: 171I don't have a wapi (yet!) but since people were mentioning Ken's strops, I just wanted to say that I received my "Filly" strop from him this weekend. Even though I don't know all that much about strops yet, I can say that it's a very nice strop! It's great quality and works well. Plus, the back of it is already pasted with 0.5 micron chromium oxide so you can touch up your razors when you need to. It's a very nice starter strop with a great price. I can definitely see myself using it as a travel strop too. Oh yeah, Ken's service is great

I have and have had a number of different razors. They range from antique store finds for a couple bucks to Couple hundred dollar TIs. That said, I'd put my 2 Wapis against any of them from a pure shaving utility standpoint. They are nice blades that will take and hold a really nice shaving edge. I have different scales on both of mine, I recommend you do the same. The scales are simply too bulky for my taste. There's a lot of fellas here that can make scales for you for a reasonable price. Just remember, inexpensive doesn't always mean cheap.

Thanked: 4I'm new, I bought a Wapi + strop from Ken, and have been busy learning how to shave. The Wapi doesn't have fancy scales or fancy etching on the blade, but I didn't want that in a "training razor." It does everything I need for now, and Ken was great on his sales and support. Big thumbs up.
