Got the USB Microscope
I've finally got the microscope I ordered. I'm still figuring out how to use it but I've already taken 2 shots, 1 at 10X and 1 at 200X. These images are from my Mastro Livi after 3 uses and a little stropping.

The box says "Digimicro". Got it off ebay. It's the same as ebay no 260366367973.
Are you nuts?
This one says it works with vista. In the ebay description and in the manual here. The thing is, I dont know anybody who uses Vista, or I'd have them check for you.

Thanked: 1212Well, you oil your blades, I can tell that much...
Those pictures look pretty nice and show plenty of detail.
I'm not sure, it looks a bit as if the Maestro uses a double bevel of some kind. Could be convexing form the CrO he uses.
How does that baby shave, if I may ask?
I'm accustomed to looking at edges with stereoscope at 40X magnification. I'm not sure how to interpret this pictures.
If you remove the oil, you'll be able to get a more even view of the bevel side.
Seems like a very nice buy for the money.
Bart.

is that water on the edge? seems to make it really hard to tell what's happening.

Oh THAT'S what that is - I totally forgot I oiled it before I put it back in the box!
It doesnt feel as sharp as yours or hi_bud_gl's, but the shave is very comfortable, feels easy and smooth on the skin. I havent used it in 2 weeks as I wanted to wait for the microscope to take a pic of the edge with as new a razor as possible. I'll wipe the oil off and take more pics and then shave with it again.
Me neither! LOL Is that even 200? - I think so, but I'm not sure. Will have to play with it some more. The manual is 3 pages and the software doesnt have a help file!
Just played a little more with it and found the digital zoom. Used it to get a better focus on the very edge.
Edit: sorry for the badly lit pic, I forgot I put the daylight lamp away. Kind of late here (3:30 am!)Last edited by Cornelius; 02-24-2009 at 02:32 AM.

Is the zoom on that model variable? From the specs on the ads it would appear that 10X and 200X are the only options and there is nothing in between.
