Thread: Hone selection limitation.

I am biased as I have never used either but I do use a coticule. I'm sure the coti off the 8K would be a great shave. It can also be used to touch up those razors that need it.

From what I understand though, the coticule will leave a smoother edge, so you won't get that scary sharp feeling to the blade, that may be something you want so it's worth consideration.

The coticule is also a very versatile stone, between slurry, wet, and dry you can cover a lot of the honing progression.
