What do they say about always using a razor with dry hands. Maybe that also refers to drying the blood from your hands. I guess blood on a razor is not only corrosive but also slippery.

I used to sail large boats (44' and up) and learned early to never grab anything that was running away from you (sheets, halyards, etc...). I applied that to knives and other such items.

Ouch. When I dropped my Wapi I managed to avoid the reflex but it fell on hard bathroom tile taking a nasty chip out of the tip. Another kind of ouch. I healed my damage about three months later, trust yours will disappear a tad quicker.

A dozen or so years ago I was hauling buggy on a Schwinn Paramount dérailleur bicycle. I tangled with a Cadillac pulling out of a parking place. Hit the guy's left front fender and I went clean over the hood and slid on the asphalt on my ribs and my right elbow.

The first thing I was worried about was how the bike was. It was okay and I was a bit worse for wear. Good thing you didn't cut the new strop.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

One of my buddies was a mover during college. One of the older guys use to say, "Skin grows back, furniture dont"

Ah, Leighton. I hope the cut isn't too bad. Or will you be forced to use a DE?

Actually, last summer I dropped my W&B while stropping and the very instant I felt it slip from my fingertips I instinctively leapt back and let it fall. It landed right on the tip, almost stuck in the hard wood floor and gave me a tiny ding in the edge. I couldn't get to my stones for weeks, but honed out.

It must be going around. I dropped my Platinum this morning. I tried to catch it but just missed. Nced the blade pretty good.

I'm sorry to hear about your hand, I hope it heals quickly for you.
