    Smile Welcome, Salzary

I think I got my Heljestrand from that seller and couldn't be more pleased with the shaving condition it arrived in. Congrats on a good grab!

Hi and welcom to SRP, I am a relative newbie as well and have been shaving with a straight edge razor for a few months and what i can say is you got a lot to learn as it demands a steady hand and good technique to master the skill, but when you get better and better the shave becomes a pleasure not a chore as it used to be with those plastic fifty two blade modern crap.
I find the shave is like a sort of zoning out time, so never rush it and take your time and it will be a gentle relaxation for you.
Oh and buy a styptic pencil you will need it
