    Two questions:
    1. I bought some Col. Conk soap today since it was all that was available. Is this a decent soap or did I just waste my money?
    2. What's the general consensus on Omega brushes? I know they're generally boar bristle, but badger is somewhat more than I can afford atm, so they're looking like an attractive intro option.

    Default Inexpensive Brush

If you are looking for an inexpensive badger brush, I have been quite satisfied with the Tweezerman brush that Amazon sells for less than $14.

    Bump.

Also, another question: I've been looking on the boards and the wiki about this, but can't find much info on it - I don't think I can get camellia oil where I live (I've never even heard of it) so would sewing machine oil be a safe substitute to use to protect my razors when they arrive?

I've used both mineral oil and petroleum jelly (i.e. vaseline) to coat my blades. Both work well.

'Inox' is an Aussiemade spray, like WD40, I've been finding very good. Usually available at auto parts fishing tackle stores. Supposed to be 'food grade' also .

    Ballistol is another popular one.
