let me know what i did wrong this time
first ambidextrious shave
the vid is all the stuff i did with the left hand
my mic is good, the blade sounds like sandpaper, but this is probably one of the best ones ive had, 0 irritation, none.

ok Im certainly no expert , just take this for whats its worth. A few times I notice the hand you hold your razor with was wet and had soap on it, I have control issues when I do that. Your grip seems awkward but if it's working for you then I guess it's ok.

yes that was an issue, i had to keep wiping it off on a towel, i wasnt at a sink so i couldnt rinse the old lather away, normally it doesnt get like that
as for the funny grips, ive been meanin to watch some of the vids ive been recomended, just havent got around to it, i will before i shave again.
thanks

ok for me I need to complete one side of my face before I even think of going to the other side. I lather up once and usually do my right side first to my jawline, then put razor in left hand and do left side to jawline, then while razor is still in left hand I go from jawline straight down , when I get to the center I put razor in right hand and go from jawline down. I basically have 4 sections I work with. Then if I want a smoother shave I lather up again and do the same 4 sections only this time accross the grain. Your technique seems to have you all over the place. I have to say though you looked like you got a great shave, Im not sure that you did anything wrong because the end result looked great.

At about the 6 min mark of the vid I thought your grip looked better more controlled , rather than that Japaneese looking grip you had in the begining.

gotcha, i need to plan it out better and focus on quadrants, i kinda do, but dont complete the sections, i hopscotch around , your absolutely right, instead of half finishing all over, i should take more time in each section
maybe after a few more weeks, my skin will have adjusted, and ill be able to go ATG without razorburn
thanks

With practice and some more experimentation I am sure that your technique will come along, one thing that I noticed that is different from your last vid is that it really looks like you are using MUCH less pressure. Probably a big factor in the lower irritation shave.

You were driving me a little insane. I'm not sure how to say this delicately.
I think you need to just practice a bit. But before that happens I'd like to suggest that you hold the razor still . . . think about what you want the blade to do, then purposefully do it.
Although the way your doing it is not wrong, the blade is flashing around all over your face for no reason at all.
You can cut down like half your shaving time by simply learning what strokes come next, with what grip, and in what direction. There is no need to flash the blade around like a butterfly knife.
