    Default Pits?

    I have looked at a lot of razors and many of them have some pits on them. And i have no idea what a pit is.

    Its a little hole that the rust ate out of the steel.
    Matter of taste - I don't mind, as long as they are not at the bevel.

    yep, when the steel reacts with oxigen it becomes iron oxide, and when that thing gets off the blade there's a little hole left behind.
    tarnish waterststains etc. is same thing (iron oxide) but much smaller, so the holes are tiny. i call them pits when i can see them as such without magnification, i.e. at about 0.1mm.
