I took GSSIXUN' S advice and bought a Illinois #827 Russian from the knifecenter. com came to $29.95 including shipping. I am looking forward to using it

I wholeheartedly concur! Stay away from ebay strops, I have bought several in the last few years, even in a good picture you cant tell what you are getting. On the low end think Illinois, on the other end I would go for the SRD. I finally graduated to an SRD premium strop(thanks Lynn) and can boast of their quality.
