    I'll bet dollars to doughnuts you are using too much pressure. Let it just glide with the edge doing the cutting not you pushing it through.

    welcome michael, don't use that pasted strop.
    the prima klang is extra hollow ground and the blade is quite flexible. many people find it harder to use these when they don't have very good technique. it'll get better.

    thanks guys!

    i'll try letting off on the pressure and correcting the angle. i found that it didn't cut as much hair as i thought it would on the first pass.

    i did have on razor honed by Tim Zowada which seemed to pretty much wipe the hair off in one pass. but i'm sure i'm just doing it wrong this time.

    we'll find out how it goes tomorrow. i'll post some more info after the shave. thanks again guys!

    i need some better soap too. or some cream. time to call SRD i guess

    In my opinion its nice to have a hone hanging around so that you can learn to use it when you are up to it.
