    Default Bummer- chip

Still working on honing. Thought I had done a really nice job on my Wacker 1/4 hollow-- initially had problems with the toe, got it worked out with a rolling X-hone. Passed HHT. Shaved with it for several weeks, pretty happy with the edge. Then I noticed some corrosion on a spot on the bevel-- took out my magnifier, and sure enough, found a section of bevel that was messed up, plus a chip.

I was thinking about just resetting the bevel again myself, but the chip looks pretty big so I think I ought to send it out to a honemeister. Anybody specialize in "chip" repair?

anybody who offers honing services should be able to do it, however this is not simple honing, but full edge restoration, so it may cost you a bit extra.

At that statement you might want to think about those of us that do restoration rather than just honing... I am not knocking anyones honing skills... It's just that we do more of that stuff....
