Curious
This hasn't happened yet (Key word yet) but I was wondering what happens if you ding a blade. I know sooner or later I might drop it or catch the faucet or something stupid like that. Does it depend on how bad the ding is, does it need to be re honed? At times I can be one of those what if people. Don't worry, it will get annoying down the road.

+1 It would depend on the severity of the ding. Let's face it, we've all done it at one time or another. I bumped the blade against the faucet. There was another thread where someone dropped his and the blade shattered. It's so easy to lose focus for just a split second, then bang it happens. The best cure is to keep your focus on what you are doing.

Thanked: 234I dinged a blade on the faucet, it needed rehoning. I didn't even notice until I'd finished shaving.

I dropped a blade in the sink while shaving, luckily, my thumb broke it's fall, A vintage Goldedge, and it was OK ! My thumb wasn't, gross....Lot's of blood that day.
P.S. Safety Tip: Make sure your hands are COMPLETELY dry before you pick up your razor....We have assumed control !
