Thanked: 10First Dovo 6/8 imitation tortoise
I just received my very first Dovo 6/8 imitation tortoise shell razor today. I am anxious to see how it shaves in the am. I will keep you posted. Thanks to Don and Lynn at SRD. I can tell they did a SUPERB job honing the razor. The razor feels perfectly balanced in my hands. I think I already have the straight razor bug. I just bought an old GENCO off ebay for around 16.00. I am going to send it off to be professionally restored. Thanks to all for their advice.

I am confident I will. It looks like Gencos are one of the best American razors you can get, and inexpensive. It should come out nice. Thanks.

That Dovo was my first razor as well, about 6 weeks ago. LOVE IT! I have bought three more since, and it's still my favorite. It shaved VERY well straight from Lynn too.
