Thread: My Intro

Hey Everyone!

I'm a 29yr old Computer Science bachelors student, trying to save a few pennies by dumping the cartridges. So far, I've shaved with my "Magic" brand straightee that I bought at a local beauty supply store, and I can tell you which cuts are from which shave. Though I have to say, the last time, I've only used it 3 times this far, I only nicked myself once, on the upper lip.
Despite the cuts and nicks, I have tossed my Gillette Fusion, and will not use it again.
I must say, I love the whole "manly" shaving thing, with the brush, the cream, the mug, and a razor that could kill you. You know, we all laugh about that, but, really, there is something about shaving with something that is classified, by the several government agencies, as a deadly weapon.

I decided to get into this because of my younger brother, Stg. Clean Shave, on shavemyface.com. He got me looking into DE shaving, and I though, "I'll just take it the next step." So here I am. I figure, I'll keep shaving with my straightee for a few months, then I'll get me a nice, traditional, straight razor from the classifieds here. By then I should have a fairly good technique and be able to shave like a pro.

Anyway, it's good to be here with such fine gentlemen. I look forward to making a few friendships here.

P.S. I've got pictures of my razor and stuff on my laptop, so I'll post them for critique later today.
