    The TM strop was a good choice. I would recommend
    not stropping before your first shave, and then stropping
    as per the wiki afterwards:


    Razor stropping - Straight Razor Place Wiki

    This is just to ensure that if you damage the edge by
    stropping that you can tell by that shave compared to
    your first one.
