Be sure to check the classifieds here and you should be able to find a "shave ready" razor that fits your budget. Good luck.

looks like you are ready to go. be sure to take time to learn things slowly and it will progress in time and you will enjoy each and every shave. read the wiki here on correct shaving procedures. remember to prep before each shave. i usually shower prior to shaving. stretching the skin is utmost in getting a clean nick free shave. good luck and do not be afraid to ask lots of questions. everyone will be more than glad to help you get up to speed.

I appreciate it. There seems to be a lot of helpful. People here if only all boards were so welcome. I might join more.

I found acouple I could afford but nothing like one I found already sold when I looked through the first time. Any place on there for older transactions? Sometime before I joined? Thanks in advance (n,n)b

All sold items in the classifieds are removed after a week you can find old items from the B/S/T (buy sell trade now called classifieds) in the archive section of the forum

Sounds like your off to a good start as far as equipment goes. I also hated shaving. I avoided it at all costs. i used to get terrible razor burn and bumps. In fact thats how i started using straight razors. I had a boss breaking my stones about not being clean shaven. I started researching how to get rid of razor bumps and everything i found said use a single blade razor as in a safety or straight. Safety razors didnt seem great to me and i knew i had my great granfathers erusta razor somewhere. I found used it and then it was over. I now never have a single hair on my face. In fact if i have even a little stuble it drives me nuts. I shave with a str8 daily. I now own dozens of razors and hone all of them myself. I have completely and totaly lost my mind because when i see a razor i like ive gotta have it. Its a desease be carefull it can clean your pockets out quick. Just kidding about the last part. Take it slow, be carefull, and enjoy.

I hated shaving too...looks like I'm not the only one. I would go a week at a time without shaving and then when I did, I would use an old M3 razor that I kept alive because it infuriated me to spend $20 on shaving supplies every couple months.

+1 to what everyone else is saying...take it slow. I think my first shave (just two weeks ago) was a nearly one-hour affair. Now I'm down to 15-20 minutes for two passes.

well my shaving is going pretty good. I am shaving with both hands and have only cut myself once. Funny thing is now that i am doing this, I am wanting to shave really bad. It also seems to me that my hair is growing faster now, maybe an illusion though.
