Thanked: 3Welcome to SRP! There are many fine razors on EvilBay, with fine images with which to judge them by. I ALWAYS read the Sellers FEEDBACK to identify those who have solid INTEGRITY which usually identifies His ability to hone a razor to being 'Shave Ready".
I will be sending in my most fancy silver script in laid / Cracked Ice scaled straight razor w gold washed blade to the HoneMeister for a $20 high performance sharpening job! I paid $25 for the razor. Adding another $20 for honing, plus $10 for Priority Delivery. $65 is in my opinion a GREAT price to pay for a fancy razor of high quality. I am sure that You may find something for a bit less, like the "Tuckmar" I just bought for $9 and have a Pro sharpening done.
Going about my business this way makes sense be because the steel is high quality and the new edge will be much easier to maintain for quite a while. I just purchased a new Coticule hone with a 3" slurry stone for $85 and have a fine leather strop which will allow me to maintain a fine level of sharpness with which to shave with for the future. Good Luck!
