Hello!! My name is Grant, I live in Billings,Montana. I have been looking at getting into a straight razor for a long time, thus I have done a lot of research. I have to admit that there is a lot of opposing information out there, I am looking for some of the experienced people on this site to hopefully be able to point me in the right direction.
So - I am looking for my first straight razor. I hope to keep then entire cost of everything I will need under 100 dollars. I have dark thick hair on my face which continually gets ingrown hairs from my mach three.
What type of razor would you buy in my position. I would enjoy getting a strop and learning how to properly hone the razor after I dull from using it for a while =)
I would prefer to buy a razor that has been honed by someone who knows what they are doing.
There are so many razors out there I have to admit I am overwhelmed.
I appreciate any help that anyone is able to give me advice on what razor to buy, and possibly a specific one that is available, and I am sorry if this has been directly answered already, I did not see it anywhere in here..
