Thanked: 0Can Anyone Tell Me About These Old Razors?
These are old razors that belonged to my grandfather. I do not know the exact age of any of them, but died in 1920, so they're pretty old. If annyone can tell me anything about them (Are they any good? Are they collectors pieces? Are they worth anything? Etc.), I would be VERY grateful. They are, from top to bottom:
ERN
Wester Brothers
Karnak
Wadsworth
Wade & Butcher

I don't recollect hearing of the Wadsworth but it is in good company. Depending on condition they would all make good shavers from the point of view of quality.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

ERN and Wade and Butcher were pretty big names, I haven't heard of the others, maybe someone else has, but just at first look. They look fine to me, May need a honing, but they look like they'd make a fine addition to anyone's collection. The top two has some nice work on the scales..Good for you....
BTW, That's very, very cool that they belonged to your Grandfather....Now you can use them, and if you have kids, you can teach them, and so on....Last edited by zib; 11-07-2009 at 02:45 PM.
