Jason, if you are just getting started I highly recommend visiting the classifieds for your first razor. You will find very good razors at great prices. They are not junk because our members have reputations to protect. People sell razors for any number of reasons. Some of our members enjoy restoring old razors and reselling them, others found something they would rather use. It really gets down to personal choice. However, as a beginner you don't have enough knowledge to make those decisions quite yet. Don't get hung up over the brand name (Dovo, Wostenholm, etc..) as a first razor. Get one that is shave ready, then go from there.
