Well, read the Wiki entry on stropping again. If you use a light touch, and not too much speed, you should be fine.

Update on the dilemma over the DOvo BL or the cheap Cyril.
I went with the group advice and shaved with the BL last week. Must admit I really like the shave from it.
I got the Cyril back last Friday and shaved with it today.
No comparrison. The BL is far better.
I have shaved twice with the BL compared with once with the Cyril, I'll keep the Cyril in my rotation for the moment, but looking at purchasing at least 2 more straights and use them in my rotation.
Will possible use the Cyril as my weekend or travel razor but not sure yet.
