He is going to need to maintain that edge. I have a strop pasted with tiers issard strop paste that i dont use any more. It was my first strop and it works great for edge maitenence. It has a few nicks but there way up at the top and dont affect the use at all. I would be happy to send that out to you. I was laid off a few months back myself brother. luckily i got another job quickly and didnt have to wait for them to call me back. I no how scary it can be and how much it hurts. When it happened to me i had closed on my house only two weeks prior. I was scared to death i have to admit. I also have an extra brush and some soaps if you need them. I will recomend if you dont want to wait williams mug soap. Its like 98 cents a puck they have it in most supermarkets and pharmacies and it latheres pretty nicely for less than a buck. I wish you the best brother and this stuff is yours if you need it. Then you can throw away those crappy desposibles forever.

How about a tube of shaving cream? It's from Tom's of Maine, very nice stuff. (I got a deal on it.) PM with address if you want it. You'll be shaving until you retire!

update: its turns out I did not throw the brush out. I found it in my closet today. If you want it, let me know. Again, its just a cheap drugstore brush.

I think he has at least two brushes now...... Would encourage sending the strop, the creams, the soaps...... Those will always help.

    Default Brushes and Package update.

    fletcherfam,

I just wanted to update you about the package I am sending you. I will be mailing the package out to you this coming Monday (December 14) via Priority Mail. I apologize for the delay (I think I had the flu).

The package has two brushes (one Badger and one Boar - both sanitized and ready for use). Both brushes have less than 10 uses each and neither shed. The package contains some soaps, a vintage Old Spice Mug and an assortment of miscellaneous items. My wife had a few items she asked me to include in the package for your lady as well.

Keep the faith and I hope all of the positive energy everyone is sending your way will help you and your family keep your spirits up and see you through these trying times. Nothing bad lasts forever.

    Best Wishes,

    James

    str8razor,

My bad. fletcherfam sent me his address in Washington and I will ship a package out this Monday (12/14). I had the flu last week and I guess I was hallucinating about fletcherfam and me both being in the same state. I am much better and thinking clearer so with the Post Office's help, JT should receive my package around Wednesday of next week (sorry for the delay JT).

I am proud to be associated with so many caring and giving people as I have read about on this thread. Best wishes to all.

    James

PS: The package I am sending is ready to ship (to Washington).

    Default Generosity

As always I am touched by the generosity of the average American.

Please find a quote by my (Scotlands) national poet, says it all.

PS Hope work comes your way soon.

"Affliction's sons are brothers in distress; A brother to relieve, how exquisite the bliss!"

    Robert Burns
