I had the same question once, too.

+1 to JimmyHAD's tip on using the CrO, if you have it. Otherwise, just make sure your stropping technique is good and do a few more laps on the leather. Then use a lighter touch when you shave. I found that a good stropping and a really light touch can avoid these little dots of blood.

Definitely true for newbies. I thought I was using light pressure, then I used less, then even less. One you get the right pressure you'll finish your shave with no irritation and a really smooth face and have that AHA! moment.
