I got my razor back from SRD this weekend and it looks good as new! I just finshed up my second shave and I managed to not hit the edge on anything this time. Instead of rinsing the blade under the faucet between passes, I dipped it in a sink full of water and wiped it on a towel, as recommended in another thread.

Overall, the second shave was much better. Only one weeper, a lot less burn, and more whisker removal. There were still trouble spots where I just couldn't get the blade to remove the hair, so I touched up with a mach3. It wasn't the best shave I've ever had, but it was an improvement over last time.

    Default First Shave, Big Mistake

    Hello, Mr. ctbillings,

Yours is an unfortunate accident, but nothing unusual. As many have already suggested, please send it to Lynn. He can fix anything.

Most importantly, don't let the accident discourage your straight razor adventure. Take the mistake in stride and move on.

    Regards,

    Obie
