    While nicer brushes cost more, I don't think price is always a good indicator of quality. I bought an Omega brush on Amazon, badger, and while it's not a high end silver tip I really love it. A great buy at $25. I would send the one you got back. Hey, stuff happens.

    This isn't uncommon and isn't really an indication of component quality. They use hot glue and should be using epoxy. They all do.

    As people are saying, it does happen. Happened to one of my favourites but I'd had it a few years and never even thought of sending it back. A few minutes with some two part epoxy and I don't think it'll happen again!

    I'd rather the whole knot come loose like that than it losing hairs all the time!
