Thread: 1st shave with family heirloom

I got my Great Grandfather's razor from my father last summer. Then I had my brother-in-law refinish it. You may know him as gssixgun or Glen. I can't believe the way it came out. The scales and the finish are incredible but the shave was fantastic.

It came out better than I could have imagined. I still have to improve my technique around my jaw line but I am working on it. Glen if you read this thanks for the fantastic job you did in restoring my Great Grandfather's razor. My father who has made knives in the past was impressed.

I should have taken some pictures of the first shave with it but I forgot. So here are some pictures Glen took while restoring.

It still is amazing to shave with a razor my Great Grandfather used.
