    Another cheap way to try it out is a disposable straight razor with blades. $10. No worries about stropping or sharpening.

    This is how I got started and then got hooked.

    I shaved with the razor for the second time today, but this thread is about purchasing a straight razor and not about shaving, so I started a new thread where I will continue with my shaving experiance.
