Default Two first timers this morning at work!!!!

So I came into work this morning loaded for bear
The general manager at the dealership had asked me to try a straight finally, I think he had heard enough of my BS

So I brought in a Thistle and a Robeson with some of SRD's Ylang Ylang and a Conk's pure badger I just grabbed one of my Illinois #827's just in case he was going to go all the way and want to try stropping ...

I went first and showed him how to lather and strop and prep and some of the angles...

Then handed everything over and guided him through step by step, He actually did very well, starting with exactly what we recommend for the first shave, from sideburns to jawline, in fact he did so well we went ahead with a full shave for him, he wears a Goat so he did not have to navigate the lip or chin... Went through a WTG pass then a re-lather and some partial XTG spots... I explained the cold water rinse and he finished with some of Ratliff's home made Bay Rum... Not sure if we have a convert yet but he is definitely impressed... He is still sitting at his spot on the Showroom floor stroking his face as I write this...

So now for the rest of the story and the other first...

Our Floor manager wanted to try it, I brought two razors because I figured somebody would
So I showed him the whole routine also, and got him all set to go,,, annnnnnnnd Freeze up.. He got so damn nervous bringing that edge up to his face, his hand was shaking, he was scaring me just watching him... After about 1 inch of side-burn he gave up and I agreed that he should...
So as he was wiping off the lather he says "Can't you just shave me so I can see what it feels like" I says "No, never have tried that"
Then it hit me, why not, I saw Simon Coully shave David and BT at the 2009 Razorcon and hell if Simon can do it, I should be able to also

So we sat him down and got him all lathered up and I went for it..
Just all WTG strokes, but hell it was way easier than I ever thought possible, again he wears a Goat too so I did not have to navigate on the lips or the chin... He is sitting at his desk doing the double handed facetrubation right now too

So all in all a good morning at the Ford store today now if we can sell some cars it will be a great day!!!!

Just thought I would share with you guys..

Give your dealership's GM the link to one or more of the str8 razor vendors at SRP. Go ahead...Push him over the edge.

Give your FM a link to one or more of the SRP vendors who also sell DE razors. Wait six months to a year, then bring one of your str8 razors back to work. Watch him fight you for a chance to use it.

Congrats, keep up the proselytizing, we need to save all the souls we can from sub par shaves. Thousands down, millions to go.
