Thanked: 530Don't know the brand, but it's absolutely GORGEOUS! Looks like a 5/8 or 6/8 from the pictures (IMO, but you can measure this, measure from spine to edge... If you want to)
For the most part, pretty much all vintage razors are good shavers IF HONED PROPERLY. And that one is in really nice condition (from what I can see in the pictures). I'd guess it's at least a fairly good quality razor, just by the amount of craftsmanship (the worked spine and gold, namely)
And if it is a family heirloom-esque item, I'd say you've got a peach
Send her out to one of the resident honemeisters (find them in the Classifieds under Member's Services) and send it out for a sweeeet edge. You'll love it!
Good find! Happy Shaving!
Cheers!
Jeremy
Edit: I'd lean towards a 5/8, upon re-examining the pictures... It still looks like a sweet shaver, and gorgeous in general. Congrats

Never heard of the brand but that is a real stunner. Reminds me of some of the fancy Bokers.

I just bought this Boker on e-bay. I wonder if that razor was made by Boker?

I couldn't say cuz I am not any sort of specialist and just a newby but wow there is an undeniable and uncanny resemblance in both blade and handles. handles are in fact exactly the same. blsde is similar though your boker has the same scalloped back, spanish point (instead of square), different stamps, single shoulder (instead of double). i still think they are quite similar but will be interested to hear what those who really know say.
