Thanked: 1Dovo Micarta
I purchased a Dovo Black Micarta on Ebay. It feels sharp and I wanted to shave with it tommorrow. Stropping on a Latigo strop it made some lines in it & I found some of the black leather on the blade. The blade has no honing on it. But the scratching of the strop worries me. Are there burrs or nicks. I have a Norton 4k-8k combo, a chinese 12000 grit hone, an Arkaksa translucent, and Arkansas soft stone, and a vintage barber hone. Would a gentle honing on these resolve the problem? The blade does sort of pop the arm hairs, but I don't want my face to resemble a cat attack.

I just got the same razor and have a similar issue. The blade just doesn't sit exactly centered when I close it but I make sure that I don't catch the blade on the scales when I close it. This issue aside, what a great shaver. I got it because I wanted to see what the difference was between a carbon steel and stainless. If you find that tapping the pin does the trick let me know. Thanks!
