Thanked: 0It's not the cystic variety thankfully. My parents said they both had it really bad. It was 100 degrees here for the last couple of days and I've been doing yardwork and siding work on the house so I was breaking out a little bit. I usually wash my face twice a day, but I was working for 6-8 hours at a time with my face covered in dirt and sweat. I have noticed with regular shaving it clears up a bit, but it was a chore with plastic razors. Now it's fun so hopefully I won't have to worry about it as much in the upcoming weeks. I'm gonna try to find some shaving soap soon and I'll try to keep ya'll updated. I'm more of a lurker/reader, but I'll try not to fall off the map. Thanks again guys!

Thanked: 44Brush & Soap available locally & cheap
Some Walmart's carry a $8 brush, bowl & soap set. The soap is VDH deluxe (Vahhusen ?), the brush is boar but works, the bowl is just a rice bowl, but is easier to make lather in than a mug. If your Walmart doesn't carry it, try pharmacies. The CVX by me carries the same VDH brush and Williams soap (I liked the VDH soap much better - it was slicker / more lubricating (less razer burn) and didn't dry out as fast on my face (straight razor shaving is slow at first...) I use a large capacinno / soup mug as a lathering bowl and it works fine.
