    Default Temporary strop alternative?

I just got my dovo best quality razor today - but the strop order was cancelled due to some paypal problems.
So anyway, this is the problem. I don't want to go much further into my overdraft for a week or so until a cheque clears so I get some moneyz again. For this week, is there anything that I could use as a strop alternative?

(Sorry if this thread has already been posted)

    Cheers,

    Sheebay

Among other alternatives, you can buy a piece of smooth tanned leather from a hobby store or other leather supply. Place it on the edge of a table, and strop. Some time back, I purchased a 4" x 9" piece of leather that worked fine. (It was tooling leather.)

Some have stropped on black inky newspaper in a DIY-like way.

You can also use the heal of your hand. This is what I do on short trips.

If you have a leather belt, it can be used....

If you ever see those all mechanic tool pouches, they came with very wide tanned leather belts. They're great in a pinch...

Also, moleskin cotton material works wonders as the fibres bend and absorb much like leather, you need at least three layers of the good stuff, and four or five of the cheap stuff.
