Default Strop from SRD, whats the 2nd handle for?

I just got a razor & strop set today and im looking at it and im a little confused. Bought a Dovo ivory micarta full hollow 5/8" & SRD 2" strop

Im looking at the strop and i see two handles, 1 handle with a leather/fabric webbing and another handle w/ a backpack type woven nylon, its purpose elluding me

i know the fabric webbing & leather is used to strop daily, fabric first then leather but whats the woven nylon all about, bdsm?

That one is for rubbing your hand up and down on really, really fast, then zapping all and sundry with the resulting static charge. Hilarity generally ensues. It's called a static strop, first invented by Benjamin Franklin as a precursor to his discovery of keys attached to kites.

In fact, from what I hear it is simply another stropping medium - give it a go and see what you think. If all else fails, contact SRD and ask them what it is for. Tell them Ben Franklin sent you!

    Default i've deduced

i might have figured it out, the webbing is the nylon weave, and the leather is one sided. so nylon weave then leather

Yes, and if you ever get another fabric strop component, the webbing is what Lynn tends to recommend for Cr Ox, or other stropping pastes.

OK Sparkey... you had me going for a nanosecond there.

All this time I thought the second handle was for pulling
the leg of humorous folk here and there.

Better to pull one's leg than to pull the finger!

Please ensure you do not have a static electricity charge worked up when pulling another's finger.
