    And I might use it. It would be very cool to use the same razor that my great grandfather did 80 years ago. But at the same time, I feel nice it belongs in a case or something. I definitely want to keep that beautiful patina on it
    You could still use it and keep the patina
    I have a challenge cutlery co. Razor that is black as sin on the blade except for the thin bevel. It shaves like a dream.

    How do I get rid of rust without getting rid of the patina too? just be careful, spot sand and such?

    If I want to save the patina but get rid of the rust you can use something pointy and made of metal and just scratch off the rust if it's just surface rust. I use a scratch awl and it doesn't scratch the steel or leave any marks just knocks off the rust. Also if it's deeper rust maybe try using a hard toothbrush and some wd-40 or other rust penatrator

    Oh yeah if you scratch it off with something metal do it lightly like almost no pressure
