    Default Soap vs Shaving Cream

    Hi, All,

One more thought on what I've found so far: I can't say enough good about the products Lynn sold me (although it probably won't surprise the board too much to hear someone say that. )

One of the things I've found I like the most is the soap I bought with my kit. I've always hated the scented shaving cremes/gels you buy at the local grocery store. They've always smelled nasty/yucky/chemically to me.

When I ordered my Dovo, I also ordered a tub of Lynn's Sandalwood scented soap, and the scent is much nicer and far more natural.

And after all that, it even lathers.

Lynn made the point in his video that it's almost a spa experience for him, and the products he sells sure seem to bear that out.

    Just my 2 cents.

I love the way SRD soaps smell and perform , it goes with out saying Lynn and Don know what they are doing. Try some Kiss MY Face unscented shave cream(sold at wholefoods) and the SW soap u got there and u will get an amazing uberlather!!! ENJOY!

Welcome to straight shaving! Creams are fun, but so are good soaps. I am very happy with Mama Bears EO soaps.

+1 on the Mama Bears. I'm also a big fan of SRD soaps. These are soaps made by guys that actually shave with str8 razors, and it shows. They are awesome, from the scents to the performance. You will most definitely like them.

The thing that got me interested in shaving was I got a sandalwood sample pack from the art of shaving that just opened up near me. I was using a cartridge and whatever gilet shave gel was on sale. When I found out how good of a shave I got just buy using a good cream and brush I was sold, I wanted to Get a DE. After doing some looking around online I figured why just go with another razor that I had to buy blades for so I took the plunge in the world of the straight edge, I have became obsessed with shaving for the first time ever.
