    Default Maca Root shave cream

I was wandering through the local mall this week and happened upon this Maca Root shave cream in The Body Shop. I was curious if anyone has used it before, heard about it, hates it? I picked it up to try out and I wasn't dissappointed. It is definitely a step up over the canned shaving creams.

Anyone have any thoughts about it?

Lots and lots of thoughts. Check the reviews and the search function; people seem to agree, it's a quality cream. I personally think it's among the best of the best.

My wife got me some, and I really like it. Nice lather, good lubrication, easy to use for a cold-water shave, and no scent I can detect.

I follow it with Thayer's cucumber/aloe witchazel, and end up feeling smooth and thoroughly botanized.

    Thumbs up

Yes, another here with a their original formula was a touch better, IMHO but the Maca Root is a solid performer in my rotation and always will be...

I use Maca Root quite often. It's cheap & readily available. It's also one of the best creams for lather and moisture that's out there. In fact, I like it better than a lot of my expensive creams that come from London. It's only downfall is it's scent, if they added some it would make a perfect cream.

Whenever I hear this I always thing of some cheap sci-fi flick where they use maca root to keep someone from turning into a Zombie or something like that.

This has been discussed before and as I recall the consensus was it's a quality preparation.

That's because it IS an expensive cream that comes from London. The Body Shop's cream is made by Creighton's, the same people that make T&H, as well as The Real Shaving Company's cream, and the formulas are similar enough to be nearly identical.

The Real Shaving products are priced really well. I am going to have to try some... I think I have 3 years of soap and creams at this point.
