Thread: People used to SHAVE with those things!

A co-worker walked by my desk and noticed a picture of a straight razor on my desktop. (How else do you bring up the subject, right?) He said, "Wow, can you believe people actually used to SHAVE with one of those things?!?" Even though I am still a beginner, I was proud to say, "Yeah, I shave with one of those things!"

I think I stunned him a little.

Of course, the next time I come in to work with a "flesh wound" I won't be able to blame the cat.

yeah, I don't want to tell people I've been using one until I get some really nice results.

You might find someone else who does, then you can trade some tips.

I have a few straights that I am sanding ever so slowly on my desk at work... its funny how many questions I get with it, and I even found a couple of students who do use them...

haha thats funny....I can't beleive how many people seem stunned when I ask them about there shaving techniques.....so many more ppl than I would expect are amazed that I use a straight razor with lather and a brush lol...clearly they dont know what there missing....
