Thanked: 1First of many to come!!!
I got my Dovo Best Quality in 6/8 with the wet shave kit from SRD, stayed up till one am watching lynn's dvd. Waited till the next morning when I would have the apartment to myself so I could get my first shave with out being worried about interuptions. I only shaved my left cheek ( I'm left handed). I have to say that I realy enjoyeed it, even though it was realy short.

Congrats on getting your kit and the first go with your new straight. As you know there is a real learning curve to this - they don't call it and art of nothin' - but keep doing exactly how you are doing and you will be rewarded. Keep the pressure light (as in none), play with your blade angles, and you SHALL achieve shaving Nirvana!

Thanked: 993Sounds like you're off to a great start. Small things build large amounts of confidence. Now you have the confidence to go further with your next shave, whereas if you'd shaved your whole face and half of it was covered in razor burn, you would be thinking "what the....I'm doing something wrong".
You sir, are on the right track. Congratulations!

Thanked: 1I shaved my none dominant side with my other hand last night, felt a little akward but its better than having my arm across my face. I noticed that I have to do two passed wtg to get a acceptable shave, is this normal or is it something will come in time?
