    Myself, I use a bandsaw. Much thinner kerf and much less ham and cheese or tuna fish wasted.

    You do have to watch it with the grinders. My 2x72 uses nice, long belts which greatly help keep the heat down. I also keep a bucket of cold water handy to dunk in as needed.

    All of that said, I would never take a straight to it, no way, not no how.
