    Default finally here!

So, after weeks and weeks of checking the mail box and being disappointed, my razor and strop have finally arrived and my set up is complete. Its a strop from star shaving, and the razor is a Thomas Ellin and Co Vulcan Steel purchased from Pete_S on the classifieds. Now, off to my first shave. The picture was taken from my phone, so sorry for the poor quality.

I see the styptic pencil tucked in there too. Good to have one of those handy sometimes.

Now you are ready to go....enjoy the Proraso green, I love that stuff!

    Thumbs up

Congrats! I too wait impatiently for the mail. I have to be quick about it when it comes. My wife is getting a bit antsy with all the "little boxes" showing up for the last 3 months. Take it slow and remember to pre shave with hot towels they make a huge difference.

Enjoy the new equipment. Take it slow and remember to use a light touch.

Thanks for the replies guys! First shave didn't go too bad, restricted it to the cheek area only. A little awkward doing the left cheek. Need to work on angles and technique, but other than that, I'm happy with the razor and equipment. Here's hoping I don't dull the edge while attempting to strop!

Good to hear your first shave went well. Just take it slow and light on the strop and you should be just fine
