As long as you feel your edge is good and the shave it smooth, there are limitations on what a face will tolerate and each person is different. Perhaps using a lighter touch in the sensitive areas and knowing the areas limits.

+1 on a lighter touch, ATG requires zero pressure. Also pay more attention to your stropping, IME this means slowing down, I still do this from time to time. Pay attention to how the razor edge is making contact with the leather. Good luck.
