This is what I did it with, one side is labeled
    R.H. Hegener
    Minneapolis, MN
    Made In Germany
    Other side is labeled
    'The Pennant'.

    I think this is 6/8ths...

I've done the other ear now as well.

So I ordered a Dovo Best 5/8 with a Round point...

Usually if you are shaving on your neck going S-N you can get your earlobe real easy and of course when you are doing the off side of your face often times you can't see your ear as you shave so that makes an ear nick easy too. Using a spike or square point will make any shaving more challenging until you get used to them. Eventually you develop feel so you don't actually have to see what you are doing in tight situations.

I'm fairly new and this was one of the first and only "real cut" I've done. With a round point even...

Default Lobe sounds better than chin

I would prefer the lobe cut. My first major cut was my chin. It healed nicely, then I went in the sun and now it is a red line... so I am still hoping it heals fully with time. Lame.
