Default Razor #2 for this newb

After an unfortunate incident with a faucet (doh), by Dovo Best Quality will be out of commision for a couple weeks while it gets sent out. Sooooooo I went ahead and ordered a 5/8 Dovo 'Special' imitation tortoise shell from SRD. As always I did my butt loads of research and found a lot of positive feedback about it from here and other sources. A good looking razor, good shaving razor and a good priced razor all in one from what I gather. Can't wait to try it out!

It's always a good idea to have at least a second razor and knowing it's from SRD and honed by Lynn, you can't go wrong. I don't own any Dovo's but I've heard alot of positive things about them. Enjoy your "back-up" razor.

Thanks! I was just kind of biding my time, making sure I like the art before another purchase. The more I thought about it the more the more I was like....ReardenSteel is right, this is a sign. Might as well grab another! lol

When you're wondering whether to buy another razor, that means the decision has already been made.

Oh my, and the RAD has bitten another one.

I saw a doctor about this affliction, and he said "the only cure for RAD that I know of is another hone or strop".

    Dewey81,

The Dovo Special is a lovely shaving razor; along with most Dovos, it is very easy to maintain

    I really like mine !

    Good shaving with it !

    Have fun !

    Best regards

    Russ

Thanks phatman. I'm hoping as much. My Best Quality seemed to be a pretty easy shaver for a first timer. I really like it. Hoping I'll like my second dovo just as much. Always encouraging to hear good things about it.

LMAO @ Maxi. Poverty also tends to calm this ailment. =P

    dewey,

Great choice in razors. Try to avoid having it make contact with the faucet--like your Dovo Best Quality did.

    Take care--and smooth shaving.

For sure. I was making a habit of bring it out of the sink spine for to avoid such an accident. But, as the story always goes, I got in a hurry. <shrugs>
