Whipped dog is a highly recommended place for cheap and shave ready razors on here!
That would be a safe bet.
The others looks very decent as well!Bjoernar
Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years....

Much better bet than an eBay purchase of the same price.
His strops are commonly recommended for beginners
and he has been at the straight razor game for a while.
Also look at the Classified at the top of this Forum.

Thanked: 993I do like that square point.
My wedges have taken some getting used to, and honestly, don't get pulled out that often....only when I have about a weeks growth.
I'd go with the hollow ground. Just be careful....that point will bite you.

flyguy,
I don't think I would go with either of your choices. I would opt for a full hollow ground round point blade to begin straight razor shaving, if you are new to the experience.
As Birnando suggests, check out Whipped Dog. He has a lot of variety as a very reasonable price.
While you are at it, pick up a good low cost strop to complete your shaving kit.
I assume that you already have a shaving brush and either shaving soap or cream."Age is an issue of mind over matter. If you don't mind, it doesn't matter." Mark Twain
