Thanked: 1Well it shaves fine now when I got it not so good even though was supposed to be shave ready I've honed it now on shaptons up to there 30k which after I gave it a go on the 30k made the shave much smoother then it did on the 16k

hmm, is that frown on the blade, or my eyes are getting worse.
i personally could never warm up to the hart's design, though there are plenty of fans.
on the scales, it may be just the photo, but the curves don't seem quite smooth, but as you said it's your first attempt. i'm also not sold on the mismatched pins, but again it's a matter of personal taste.
the important part is that you're having fun with it

Thanked: 1Well I have 5 straights so far and the hart is my least favorat to shave with doesnt give as good a shave as the others I have and since hart uses a scale with just the pin holding the blade (not actually a pin but a screw and nut ) thats why the pins differ on one side.

Thanked: 443That's nice looking work. I like the shape of your scales better than the traditional shape.
