Strop it up and shave.
Well that is something I heard Lynn say in his video. Well with the Simmons my that was given to me I went 5 laps on a Nani 12K, 6 light strops with .5 diamond spray on felt, 40 passes on rough leather, and 60 on premium I leather. Lathered up and OMG my best shave to date. Not much closer (my technique most likely) but much more comfort and no tugging, pulling or razor burn.
Gotta work on my honing. And I will have to save some money and send out my Case razor to a pro. Till then I will continue to use the Keen Kutter.

Thanked: 190Congrats, you doing great! Your razor looks cool, especially the scale. It wouldn't take much to make this beauty shine.

I agree with Pabster... Throw a few grits at that blade and she'll shine like the sun!!
Congrats!! I was the same way with the stropping! Finally got a decent setup and it made all the diff in a comfortable shave.-- Any day I get out of bed, and the first thing out of my mouth is not a groan, that's going to be a good day --

you could take some wool and try to buff that razor up a bit, im sure it would shine nicly,
Just a sugestion, my razor still hasent been buffed, mainly because i dont want to chance ruining it.

I think I am going to leave it as is. There is no rust or pitting and i love the look of the petinia on the blade. I will have to make an adjustment to the scales the opening is just long enough and it sticks.
Thanks for the feedback.
